I am specialist in Human computer intraction and cafting Immersive virtual reality.

In WP4 of DesCartes program, I work on Human-drone interaction.

  • Current or intended projects in relation with IPAL

In this project, we aim to develop a state-of-the-art simulated environment specifically designed for drone teleoperators. Our goal is to revolutionize how drone operators interact with and control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by immersing them in a virtual reality environment that closely mimics real-world conditions. The core of our research focuses on measuring the cognitive workload of drone operators in a disaster environment as they perform a search and rescue (S&R) task. We provide them with various viewpoints within the VR simulation to assess how different perspectives affect operator performance and decision- making. Our aim is to identify optimal conditions that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and the overall user experience. This project not only pushes the boundaries of VR and drone technology but also offers profound implications for the future of remote operation in various industries, including surveillance, logistics, and search and rescue missions.
